Digital Story 2(3) Narrative: Part One

-Part one-

Hello there! My name is Cecilia Tiraboschi(I'm from Italy)...the year is 1680(during the Renaissance)...I'm here to talk about art...its affects on the world(so far)...its affect on my life...and why its important...

First...What is art?...Art is a way of expression...it's become apart of the way we live too...art is in culture...in buildings...everywhere...during the Renaissance people wore traditional masks(that's art)...the vikings had art too, their ships were created by architecture(architecture is also art)...in China, there were porcelain vases(like silk, the Chinese were the first to make porcelain objects)...and Japanese paintings(which reflected some historical moments in time)...

Next...How has it affected the world?...
Art began during the caveman years(aka; cave paintings)...as time went by many ancient civilizations...Egypt...Persia...India...China...Ancient Greece...Rome...Inca, and a few others, created their own styles(this portrayed their cultures)...during the Medieval ages(also known as the middle ages)...art focused on the expression of Religion(not possessions or oneself)...and used styles that showed a higher, unseen glory...after the Medieval ages...the world then moved on to the Renaissance...during this age in art...people saw the world a different way from before(during the Middle ages)...the Renaissance is probably the most important moments in art(it has the most influences, and change)...it affected...Philosophy...Literature...Architecture...Theology...Science...Government...and other aspects of society...renewed interest brought the first archaeological study of Roman remains by... the architect Filippo Brunelleschi...and sculptor Donata di Niccolò di Betto Bardi(also known as Donatello)...in general, the Renaissance was a time of realization...people became more aware of their world(as well as the role they played, their significance)...

Ok, that's enough for now(I'm a bit tired)...I'm hoping you'll come back...I would still like to explain how art changed my life...and why its so important...

-End of part one-
